Sgorr Dhonuill – 06/04/11

Hurt my knee skiing at the end of March so needed to give it a run out.  Decided to look at the ascent via the red gully on the west of Sgorr Dhonuill which is often used as a descent.  Went with Morag and took Dotty and Freda (two dogs).  Miserable day – rained from start to finish.

The ascent up the gully is steep and very tricky.  Certainly would not use it as a descent.  However the route to the summit from here is good.  Descended to the bealach between the two Munros then took the forestry route out.

A good test.  And Dotty’s first Munro (foto to follow)
