Na Gruagaichean in Winter (10/10/13)

What a day – it needed to be used, so Liahm and I set off for his first winter experience.

We drove up to Mamore lodge and walked up the corrie onto the ridge between Na Gruagaichean and Stob Coire a Chairn.  What a fantastic view when we got there.

We then headed up to the first false summit which entailed some careful footwork.  The descent to the col between the summits was steep and corniced.  We put on our crampons and headed up to the summit.

We decended back to the col and then had the most fantastic descent until the snow ended…
