Well a treat for me on my first day out with Rob Roy tours. The Cobbler and a day with only a little rain – and a bit of snow on the summit.
We went up and back by the normal route and only I went through the needle, as the weather closed in on the summit.
Feeling lucky given the forecast.
I was out again with Rob Roy.
We had a glorious day up Stob A’Choire Odhar and I took this beautiful picture looking over Rannoch Mor
Beuatiful view over Rannoch Mor
We then headed up the Ben on the Wednesday. Liahm came too – his first ascent, and walked the legs off us all

I don’t normally post when I am guiding for the Outdoor centre in Glencoe, however on 1st July I did my third outing up the Ben with them. We take the kids up the waterslide and then on this day I went up to the top of the abseil posts and up to the summit. We met noone on the way up, and it was a glorious glorious day…so I wanted to share a picture with you…
What a view…Loch Long behind Tower Ridge
However, unbelievably the next day it rained for most of the ascent and I once more am posting my typical summit shot. Well done Jorg…first ascent for you!
Rob Roy Tours Ascent 2nd July 2014
Another day guiding for Rob Roy tours, however I got a treat today and went down to the Arrochar Alps.
It was a gorgeous day and we made it to the top of the cobbler in great time.
Nobody dared but me!
We then decided to head over to Beinn Narnain and descend off the nose. It was a bit steeper than I remembered, but we all got down safely in the glorious sunshine…

After a week guiding for the Glencoe Outdoor Centre I finally made it out into the hills. Sam and Liahm agreed to accompany me and we bagged two Munro’s. We climbed Meall a Choire Leith and Meall Corranaich that way round. The weather was not as good as forecast but the boys had fun on the way up in the snow and lots more fun on the way down in the (dryish) peat bogs.

After this we headed off to Killin for coffee and icecream and the boys crossed the Falls of Dochart….
Not a good day to be on the Ben – alot of rain and we didn’t even stop for lunch at the top. The obligatory photo…
Less folk than on Monday!
However as promised the weather cleared as we came down and good views were had.
The path was much less littered than the previous Saturday. I think some magic fairies had been out collecting litter
